This Sunday is the day we recognize all dads with a special gift and a thank you for all you do dad. We have designated this Sunday "Real Men Wear Pink Sunday". Why? Someone gave me a pink shirt and challenged me to wear it, I was trying how to not look so obvious so I decided to get all the guys to wear a pink shirt. So don't let me down guys, where your pink shirts. Here is the shirt and notice I hung it on my big bass to prove my manhood. :)
Dads hope you can join us pink shirt or not. We have a gift for you and we would like to honor you on your special day.
I will be continuing in my sermon series, A Man After God's Heart,
this week we are looking at the second quality of a godly man, he is A Man Who Pursues Truth.
- Work continues on the new classroom buildings, we hope to be using them soon. Thanks to Frank Sizemore for all of his hard work on this project.
- The mission team should be back this weekend, pray for their travel
- Praise the Lord Ethan Calvert arrived safely in New Guinea
- Aaron Seay is volunteering this summer at the church to help in our missions program
- David Seay taught the Victory Bible Class Wednesday and did a great job
- Pray for John Burnham's family, his daughter has been diagnosed with cancer, John will be taking off July to be with her
- We need team leaders for VBS please contact John or Chris
- Pray for VBS ( 6/28) and Teen Week (7/11)
- Don't forget no Sunday night service this Sunday due to Father's Day
- Tim Bradley is singing "A Man After God's Own Heart", right on target for my sermon
I was walking out of church this morning and I noticed the beautiful flowers around the church. Then it dawned on me that these had been planted years ago by Lanelle Griffith, she has gone to be with the Lord yet her Christian service continues to impact others. Wouldn't it be great if all we did for the Lord continued to impact people even after we are gone.
