August 17, 2010 Pastor's Update Keeping the Faith Family in the Loop Bloom Where You Are Planted This Sunday morning I will be preaching a sermon in conjunction with the below mentioned movie. We will see that it was God's grace that allowed William Wilberforce to be in the right place at the right time and it was God's grace the prepared him for a life in politics that would bring glory to God. Does God have you right where He wants you? Join us for Bloom Where You Are Planted Amazing Grace Movie We will be showing the last half of the movie Amazing Grace Sunday night August 22 6 PM. I hope you will mark this on your calendar and plan to be a part of this event. It is the thrilling story William Wilberforce and how God used him to stop the slave trade in England. This is a classic example of the Zach Effect, how inward change resulted in outward action. A nursery and class for small children will be provided. Parents are cautioned that some of the facts about the slave trade are difficult for small children to understand and accept. Meet the Teach PARENTS plan to meet your child's nursery or Sunday School teacher on Saturday August 28 here at the church from 12 to 1 PM. This is for all students nursery age through high school. This will be a great time to receive information about what your child will be involved with for the upcoming year and to talk with your child's teacher. Light refreshments will be served. TEACHERS: If you teach or work with our children's ministry starting with the nursery and going through high school, please plan to be here at noon in order to fellowship with the parents that come. Try to be prepared to answer general questions that the parents may have.
