FREE OFFER
Sitting in the doctor's office yesterday I read an interesting comment from a financial adviser. One of the ways that we often mishandle money is our attraction to "free offers". He gave an illustration from his own life. He was buying a new car, there were two he really liked. One was sporty and offered free oil changes for three years. The other was much more practical and several thousand dollars cheaper. He purchased the one with the free oil changes. He then figured out he would only gain about three hundred dollars from the oil changes, but would spend thousands more on the sporty model.
I have a free virus software on my computer but I in reality pay for it with an ad that shows up ever time it updates. The writer's point was "free" in the business world is not really free. His advice,"ask why they are giving you this free thing?"
Aren't you glad that God gave us salvation. It is truly free and God's motivation was his love.
